 Q) Do you find any difference between Aristotle's definition of Tragedy and Dryden's defination of play ? 

 Yes, there are differences between Aristotle's definition of tragedy and Dryden's definition of a play.

Aristotle's Tragedy:

- Aristotle believed that tragedy should evoke emotions like pity and fear in the audience.

- He emphasized the importance of a tragic hero, usually a person of noble stature who experiences a downfall due to a tragic flaw or error in judgment.

- Unity of action, time, and place were important in Aristotle's definition.

Dryden's Play:

- Dryden's definition of a play is broader and includes various genres, not just tragedy.

- He focused on the idea of providing entertainment and pleasing the audience.

- Dryden was more flexible regarding the types of characters and plots that could be used in a play.

In simple terms, Aristotle's tragedy is a specific type of play with a focus on noble characters facing downfall, while Dryden's definition of a play is more inclusive and aims to entertain the audience in various ways.

Q) What would be your preference so far as poetic or prosaic dialogues are concerned in the play? 

 I prefer the prosaic dialogue. Because it's more suitable and appropriate for modern era. prosaic dialogue is often preferred in contemporary plays because it feels more realistic, relatable, and accessible to modern audiences, reflecting the language and issues of today's world.

Q)  If you are supposed to give your personal prediction, would you be on the side of Ancient or Modern? 

i will go with Modern dramas. Because  Modern drama often incorporates contemporary themes, diverse perspectives, and innovative storytelling techniques that can resonate with today's audiences. It has the ability to address complex societal issues and reflect the ever-changing world we live in. Additionally, modern technology has opened up new possibilities for stage and screen productions, enhancing the visual and auditory aspects of drama. However, it's important to remember that both ancient and modern drama have their own unique strengths and characteristics that make them valuable in their own right.
